Addictions: wine, the color green, boots, sundresses, bourbon, nail polish that isn’t pink, True Blood
Obsessing over: Finishing up my Christmas wrapping and the locations of various packages I haven’t received yet.
Working on: Focusing at work. It’s hard this week. I’m so ready to be home for the holidays!
Anticipating: Thursday night (gift exchange with the boy, final packing and wrapping for my trip home).
Listening to: My Offspring Pandora station.
Drinking: A lot of Bigelow Constant Comment (that stupid cold is still hanging on).
Wishing: That I had more time to celebrate with friends. Hopefully that will happen just after New Year’s.
Santa Sirius. Or Santa Fuzz.

Solar System Christmas Ornaments

- I have my first Saturday off with no real obligations since early October. Yep, you read that right- it’s been almost 2 months since I had a peaceful Saturday.
- Going to see a good friend live his dream as a guitarist in a touring rock band this weekend.
- Christmas shopping is almost 100% done! Now I’m just waiting for everything to come in the mail. The UPS guy probably hates me.
- Discovered that Retro Ray’s exists last night. How did I miss this?!
- This week is almost over and my cold is waning. Win!
- Eating and enjoying every moment of it- within reason. Ohmygodcountryham. My mom made pimento cheese. These are things that I’ve missed.
- Finding out that I lost 7lbs in my first week of Weight Watchers on the 23rd. Woot!
- Spending time with boyfriend and amusement with his consumption of all sorts of random food to keep the nicotine fits at bay. I’m so proud of him for doing this!
- Drinking wine. ’nuff said.
- Awkward moments/issues with first cousins. One stayed at our house and brought her dog with fleas and another (other side of the family) burst into tears at my grandmother’s house. Yeah. Gooooood times.
- Tipping our waitress an extra $20 because she was working on Christmas.
- Kindle Fire. I’m already in love.
- Buying a down comforter, new sheets, and a duvet cover at the Macy’s after Christmas sale. It was time.
- Appreciation of my immediate family. I love them so much!
Sooo…boyfriend apparently stalks this Tumblr. Remember this dress? He bought it for me! (the size was wrong, but we’ll be taking it in). So. Awesome!
Also, he gave me a new camera remote for my Nikon d5000, a wine lover’s cookbook, and a new serving spatula for dessert creations.
I love him.
And may have made his day with some more kitchen toys plus some dress shirts (they were Nautica for $15 on black Friday…sweeeet!).
Other notes: I had another “things my boyfriend says” but forgot about it. This happens so frequently it’s not surprising. Also, tomorrow is officially holiday family time. I’ll probably be checking out until then. You know, due to tonight’s drinks and shenanigans as well. Look for a recap special on Tuesday.
